Indeed, it’s a a thousand times more pleasant to speak about swimsuits than about coats, jampers and boots, no matter how posh or/and cool the latter are. ‘Cos when you write about swimsuit trends 2015, your imagination transfers you to a beach. You are looking at the flat expanse of blue water and dreaming on and on.
I’ve watched videos and photos taken during Fashion Weeks of RTW clothing SS 2015 as well as photos shot during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2015 in Miami, and now I can with all the responsibility declare that there are just three major trends in swimsuit fashion in 2015. They are a retro style swimwear, printed swimwear (opt for any print you like) and swimsuits in sporty style, desirably with a high neck top.
Retro Style Swimsuits for Summer 2015
To look trendy & holy chic on the beach go for a swimsuit with high-waisted bikini pants that women used to wear in the 60-ties. A retro swimsuit will contribute to your feminine and sensuality, and, at the same time, will flatten (thus, flatter) your belly. As you can see, all kinds of openwork as well as large false jewelry are very welcome this summer.

A trendy swimsuit in retro style in summer 2015 can be monotonous or with a print on it. You could also wear a sporty top with your high waist bikini pants, however, if you are going to sunbath, opt for a more open bra.
Marlin Monroe used to wear a swimsuit like the one you see on the left, but, as far as I remember, it was not dot-printed but white.
I’d recommend to wear some leather jewelry to this retro & pink bikini set:
Trend # 2 – Printed Swimsuits 2015
In summer 2015 you are free to choose any prints you like – floral, geometric, checked or in ethno style ones. If you have some reasons to distract attention from any part of your body, this trend provides you with such a possibility, as you could combine a monochrome separate with a printed one.
Say, you have a Pear body type, opt for a printed bra or top and a dark-colored bikini. If you body type is an Inverted Triangle, opt for a dark monochrome top and brightly printed bikini.
At Luli Fama you’ll find a vast range of swimsuits in any style and color:
That’s how bathing suits with prints by Poko Pano, Cia Maritima and Mara Hoffman SS 2015 presented at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Show in Miami this spring look like. Note the contrast stripe on the swimsuit in the middle which visually narrows the waist:
Striped clothing is a must of the season and is considered to be a print. So, if you have a striped tee or a dress, it may be a good idea to buy a striped swimwear set as well:
Or you like a tonal check and poppy contrast print bikini set for £34? It’s up to you to decide to buy or not to buy:
Trend # 3: Sporty Style Swimsuits for Summer 2015
I’ve written many times that sporty style has been one of the most popular over the last several years. The thing is that active lifestyle is absolutely natural for lots of people, so it would be strange if you wear sport attire, which is very cozy and comfortable, only when doing sports. I’ll tell you even more – in my view, sports clothing including underwear and swimwear is a new classics.
In the photo on the right and left you can see swimsuits by Tommy Hilfiger 2015 in sporty style and, at the same time, in retro style of 60-ties. Swimsuit with a slogan in the middle is by Wildfox:
