9 Effortless Trends FW 2016-2017

0

FW 2016-2017 Fashion Weeks in NY, Milan, Paris and London have brought to light many fascinating ideas and numerous stylistic approaches, while classic style has proved its timelessness again.

As a matter of fact, the exact number of fashion trends equals the number of the designers participating in the Fashion Weeks. However, among this creative and rather personal mashup we did our best to identify several fashion trends  that will help you to keep your wardrobe is a so to say a state of stylish relevance.

Analyzing FW fashion trends 2016 we also bore in mind the opinion of Sarah Ratson, the former director of Lane Crawford fashion chain stores (for 20 years) and the vice president of largest buying online stores of Net-a-Porter Group (since 2015).

Being under the influence of Demna Gvasalia at Vetements and Alessandro Michele at Gucci, Sarah included in her personal trend list “Street Couture” and “Artful Mashup”.

According to Sarah, “Street Couture,” which comes from the street and fuses it with sporty clothing, should be mixed with seasonal key pieces – the puffer jacket, the bomber and the sweater.

She also said bomber jackets will be another main piece for the fashionistas of all possible spending power, while the Saint Laurent bombers top the market – 4,000 pound or $5,700 per item.

The second trend, this Artful Mashup, encompasses the eclectic style and decor, thanks to Gucci designer Alessandro Michele’s Fall-Winter 2016-2017 collection.

Well, we’d better tell all about it.

Ruffles, Frills and Flounces Run the Show Fall and Winter 2016-2017

Key advocates of the trend are Valentino, Chanel, Balmain, Gucci, Rodarte, Chloe, Fendi, Vetements.

A ruffles-flounces-frills craze can be explained by the fact that it doesn’t limit itself by romantic and vintage styles. All these romantic attributes were spotted not only in classics collections, but in collections with a Gothic touch. Ruffles even slipped into the territory of casual wear.

The trend is really flirty and beautiful, still, there is a purely practical sense to wear flounces and frills: it provides you with numerous possibilities to correct your body proportions and conceal the areas you wish to be concealed.

Faux and Natural Fur Make the Second Trend this Fall and Winter 2016-2017

Baked by Valentino, Rodarte, Alberta Ferretti, Anna Sui, Chloe, Ermanno Scervino, Fendi.

Unlike the previous FW season, when the natural fur topped the list (we even sadly joked that it was like a collision between lots of designers), this Fall and Winter fur trend should pacify the fans of natural fur and animal fanciers, as fake fur is going to be as much popular as the natural one.

Elegant, sophisticated and expensive long coats made of natural fur or funny and even a little ridiculous coats, jackets and bombers made of teddy bear are equally popular in the upcoming season.

Mix your fur outerwear with pieces in almost any style.

Nightgown Style Dresses FW 2016-2017

The trend is sponsored by Valentino, Gucci, Rodarte, Alberta Ferretti, Anna Sui, Chloe, Ermanno Scervino.

This breath-taking fashion trend to wear nightgown-like dresses made of sheer fabrics with abundant lace frills has smoothly flown from the SS to FW 2016 key trend, condemning male bystanders quietly burn with passion throughout all the year 2016. At least, they won’t get cold, and that’s a good news.

On the catwalks, of course, we saw the dresses that are not that suitable for everyday life with its office and housekeeping routine. Still, we understand that there is an art and if we want to, we could adapt it to real life.

Nobody prevents you to wear a blouse with transparent sleeves in the office, do they? Or you could put on a lace dress on silk lining when going out, just for example.

Oversize Trend Fall-Winter 2016-2017

Supporters of the trend include Balenciaga, Loewe, Gucci, Alberta Ferretti, Chloe, Vetements

So, turn on your imagination and go experimenting with various combinations of dimensionless clothing. Try not to get lost in them and, please, do not kid yourself that thanks to oversize trend nobody’d see if you gain some weight. So to say “pure” athletic style or just sporty-style-inspired elements are popular among the fashion gurus and, as a consequence, maestros of clothing design (or vice versa?). Well, that is not surprising, as this style provides you with the possibility to create pieces of an easy and comfortable cut and made of practical and high-tech materials. The color scheme of sporty clothing may be very bright or neutral, which gives you even more room for the maneuver.

Denim in Fashion in Fall and Winter 2016-2017

The disciples of Denim Trend are Balenciaga, Gucci, Karen Walker, Miu Miu, Moschino, Stella McCartney.

Denim has already become classics, like a white blouse or a pencil skirt, but occasionally it shall be called a trend. And that is there is nothing strange, ’cause, no matter how familiar is the fabric, designers do not get tired to change the angle of view, creating new looks with the help of this old school denim concept.

The catwalks proved that denim is on the way to the classic color – saturated blue without  any “cooked” spots. There is also an innovation – denim fabric is now used for creating outerwear items, such as coats and bombers jackets. As a rule, they have an unusual cut and include asymmetrical parts.

Floral Prints and Bold Flowers are Allover in Fall and Winter 2016

Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Gucci, Rodarte, Alberta Ferretti and Anna Sui promoted the trend.

Floral prints are one of the most poetic trends of the autumn-winter season 2016-2017, as they’ll remind us spring with its warmth and birds songs.  Flowers of all sorts, painted or photographically realistic, big or tiny, form a variety of choices so that you could select the best one.

Geometric Prints for Fall and Winter 2016-2017

Designers and brands that like geometry are Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Balenciaga, Balmain, Prada, Anna Sui.
