Fashion Weeks in Paris, Milan, London and NY has come to an end, and that’s time to speak about the bags fashionistas will be holding in their hands in the forthcoming Fall and Winter 2015-2016. It’s rather difficult to sort all the bags into trends, as almost each designer did his/her own thing, but I’ll do my best.
Burberry Prorsum Handbags Fall 2015
The entire collection of the brand was about patchwork, suede and patterns. Embroideries, chiffon dresses and fringes brought to mind hippies of the ’60s, and the bags the girls were having on their shoulders / holding in their hands fitted the images perfectly.

Chanel Bags for Fall and Winter 2015
It seems Karl Lagerfeld got somewhat tired of cynical negativity he used as the key message in his previous collections, and did the strongest RTW performance served by Chanel in past two or three years. Dispate the fact the collection spiraled in lots of direction, it was sturdy and bourgeois. So were the bags.
That’s how Chanel no 5 looks like now. Indeed, Chanel can’t plagiarize Chanel.
Beside glamorous evening bags and clutches you could see some casual shoulder bags:
Louis Vuitton Bags Fall 2015
It is impossible to leave unnoticeable vanity trunks in various sizes and materials, including glass fiber, ultralight carbon, aluminium and copper. Inside the trunks are all equipped with roomy space for iPads, chargers and other present-day challenges without, however, a smallest sacrifice to Louis Vuitton’s art and craft.
Fur is just another robust trend this Fall, and Vuitton couldn’t have got it round. Or just didn’t want to.
Probably some of you think it’s too much to repeat twice the brands’s name on one white handbag, but I fully like this white bag.
You can see LV’s signature print again – in two or three previous collections the Louis Vuitton bags hadn’t have it on.
Moschino Bags FW 2015-2016
Speaking about Louis Vuitton‘s famous print, I cannot but show you Moschino‘s good-humored parody of it.
Jeremy Scott brought a glimpse into the human condition of relaxing nostalgia. The collection screamed ’90s Moschino style and arose those irrepressible happy feelings from childhood.
The bags just buttoned up the looks:
Chloé Bags for Fall and Winter 2015-2016
Most of Chloé‘s girls looked a bit too folksy, but, on the other hand, really sexual. I guess sometimes this attribute cannot be applied to many fashionistas as they hide this quality under all the layers of expensive pieces of legendary brands.
Speaking to the point – about the bags by Chloé – I can say that most of them had fringe and a part of them were made of suede. Pay attention on the bag on the right – it is Marsala, the most trendy color of the year 2015.
Altuzarra Saddle Bags and Totes FW 2015
Altuzarra presented a full lot of good quality saddle fringe bags.
Even the Altuzarra totes reminded of them. Or they are saddle bags, but just large?
Emilio Pucci Boho Bags FW 2015
Something very similar to saddle bags by Chloé and Altuzarra you could observe at Emilio Pucci‘s collection. Still, I have no idea who peeped who.
I like these suede fringe and Marsala bags with a bohemian flair around them. What do you think?
Michael Kors’ Handbags for Fall and Winter 2015-2016
I love Michael Kors so much that I hardly can submit his creations to acid tests. As to me, all he does is an perfect example of a good taste
Every piece of his every collection is wearable. Always, Carl!
MK’s bags are strict, clear and professional. And classy, aren’t they?
Prada Handbags FW 2015
Prada went pastel for the forthcoming Fall. She described her collection as “sweet, but violent” and added that she “wanted impact. How can you be strong with pastels?”.
To get the desirable impact, Miuccia swam the pastels in irony.
The show unfolded with the sensation that Miuccia was playing once more to her strengths, her ability to impress and then put the familiar upside down, making to look at it from another corner. It’s exactly what made her famous many years ago.
Balmain clutches for Fall 2015
Models from Balmain’s show preferred clutches to bags. I cannot say that this Balmain’s collection is one of my favorites – it looked like his Spring presentation. Still, the clutches are glamorous and may easily match to any evening dress.
Alexander McQueen Handbags Fall 2015
The Alexander McQueen bags are damn classy, screaming money and good bourgeois taste. However, only two beauties from the show were holding bags.
Speaking about the whole collection I should say that it was dedicated to the rise of the beauty and then – the fall. The bags really perfect for Fall.
Nina Ricci bags FW 2015
The bags spotted at Nina Ricci fashion show is another example of an excellent quality and good taste. It seems to you that you have seen something of the kind before? – But you could call these bags classic!
As to me, I like the contrast between a delicate lace and solid leather. And this fringe gold bracelet, of course.
Kenzo Backpacks FW 2015
If you feel you are in the need of a good backpack in Fall, look for one at Kenzo:
Botega Venetta Handbags Fall 2015
Lanvin Bags and Clutches FW 2015-2016
Alber Elbaz, the creative designer of the Lanvin FW 2015 collection, went retrospective. He recollected his roots and the birthplace – Casablanca and all these things that Morocco is good at evoking.
It was Elbaz’s strongest collection so far, and the bags fitted the models’ Moroccan-fleur style well.
