Skirt Trend Report SS 2015

I’ve analyzed the most of ready-to-wear collection for spring and summer 2015 presented by the best designers at Fashion Weeks in New York, Paris, Milan and London and I ma happy to introduce you to nearly all challenges you can encounter when choosing a skirt or two for the upcoming season.

Long Skirts SS 2015

A long skirt is an excellent choice for those of you who feel like looking elegant and feminine. Despite the fact that you could find numerous long skirts in fall and winter collections of fashion designers, summer is the most appropriate time for wearing it. Go for a skirt you like most – with a floral or abstract print, made of cotton, chiffon or silk.

You could wear a long skirt with a rugby tee and a checked shirt tied on your hips like designer Stella Jean suggests:

If you are fond of boho and lace, choose for summer a skirt like this:

A long skirt may be in any stile including sports one, and looks you see on the left and in the middle prove the statement. By the way, aquamarine color is #1 in Pantone Color Trend Report SS 2015.

Denim Skirts SS 2015

I don’t remember a fashion season so full of a denim clothing like this one. It seems jeans and denim are elsewhere, and every model of RTW SS 2015 had it on. You can spot denim skirts at Burberry Prorsum‘s, Balmain‘s, Prada‘s, Dsquared2, Chloé‘s and many other SS 2015 collections.

Suede Skirts for Spring 2015

Speaking about latest fashion trends for spring and summer 2015, I mentioned that skirts, dresses and trench coats made of suede would be extremely popular during the warm season.

Opt for an A-line or a pencil skirt made of soft and classy-looking suede:

Leather Skirts SS 2015

Leather skirts, like any other leather clothing will be one of the hits in spring and summer 2015. With the help of a leather skirt it is so easy to get the a stylish look. If a vent-hole on your skirt is not that high, you could wear your skirt to work with similar items:

Actually, any length and any silhouette will do. If your skirt has an A-silhouette and is made of patent leather, suede or / and in retro style, it’s great:

Pencil Skirts for Spring and Summer 2015

Pencil skirts can lengthen your silhouette, and therefore it’s perfect for girls and women with hourglass, pear and apple shaped body shapes. Choosing a pencil skirt for spring and summer 2015,  mind its length. If you a plus sized woman, you’d better to remember that your pencil skirt length should be some 5-10 centimeters more than the length of your blouse, otherwise you’ll visually cut your figure into two equal rectangles or – even worse that that – two squares.

In spring and summer 2015 opt for any pencil skirt you like – with a print or a sole-colored one:

Full Skirts for Hot Season 2015

A full skirt rounds a woman’s hips. So, it’s easy to make a conclusion that a full skirt looks great on a girl or a woman with a inverted triangle body shape. If you have apple body shape, you’d better opt for a pencil skirt.

However, apple shaped women may also wear a full skirt if a chosen blouse adds some volume to the breast.

Do wear a belt if you opt for a full skirtwhile combining it with a loose shirt
